ECO MAXET offers Ultra Filtration system which helps to achieve reduction of Colloids (SDI), Turbidity, Suspended Solids from feed water. Generally, these systems are used when the Colloids in raw water is beyond acceptable limits as specified by RO membrane manufacturers. The Ultra Filtration system helps to achieve a typical minimum reduction of upto 90% in Colloids from influent water.

Ultra Filtration is a membrane seperation process. The membranes (hollowfibre) typically are encased in a pressure vessel and the influent water is passed through the membranes by use of a pump. The water passes in a inside-out configuration. The porosity of the membrane (100,000 molecular weight) allows most of the colloids to be rejected out (drained from system) and allows only partial amount of colloids in treated (permeate) water. Periodically, the membrane surface is cleaned by backflushing using permeate water and fast-flushed using influent water. This helps in maintaining the membrane surface for repeat use. The process of backflush and fast flush is automated since the frequency of this cleaning process could be within 60 minutes of service cycle
